On the heels of the news that the Hurricanes are committed to recruiting Riley Brown, the Tigers have released the following statement on the signing: “Riley Brown, a 6-foot-4, 205-pound junior guard from Miami, Florida, is the No. 2 rated player in the 2018 class by 247Sports and the No 1 ranked player in Florida by ESPN.
Brown has committed to play for the Hurricanes.”
The Tigers have already added four players to their 2018 recruiting class: guard Malik Hooker, defensive end D.J. Brown, center Kameron Carter-Williams and tight end Michael Carrigan.
Hooker, the No 4 player in 247Sports’ 2019 class, is a 6’5, 265-pound guard out of Jacksonville State.
He is rated the No 3 guard in the class by Rivals.com and the fourth-best player in Mississippi by 247 Sports.
Brown is a six-foot, 220-pound forward who is ranked No. 3 by ESPN, No. 7 by Scout.com, No 15 by Rivals and No. 20 by 247sports.
Brown committed to Clemson on Dec. 1, 2018.
Brown also recently committed to Maryland and the University of Missouri, which both have high-profile recruiting classes in the Class of 2021.
