A lot of Arkansas football recruiting can help improve the program’s chances at making the postseason, but there are some key things that should be highlighted for the Razorbacks’ top recruits, according to a report from Rivals.
Rivals’ 2016 SEC preview article “I think it’s a good time to have a little more focus on the individual, and the team, in terms of how you recruit, the individual is going to make the difference in your success,” said Kirby Smart, Arkansas’ athletic director and former head coach of the Houston Cougars, in the report.
“It’s about making sure your player has a good personality and has a passion for what they’re doing, and I think that can make the biggest difference.”
With the NCAA recruiting season underway, and Arkansas’ season coming to an end in 2018, Smart is set to speak at the SEC Football Camp on June 29.
He is also expected to speak to recruits on Monday at the NFL Combine, according the report, which is part of the annual scouting combine in Indianapolis.
Players like Dontari Poe, an ESPN 100 prospect, are among the recruits that will speak at both the NFL and college scouting combine events.
