Posted May 19, 2018 05:00:53 UGA head coach Lorenzo Romar announced Saturday that the school is recruiting UCLA defensive back Zoho Tshimane for a position with the team.
Romar said he has talked to Tshamane and is pleased to have the commitment.
“He has the skill set to play on the defensive line, and he will bring a tremendous amount of leadership to the team,” Romar said in a statement.
Tshimanes 6-foot-1, 220-pound frame and quickness on the edge could become a problem for opponents, especially at UCLA.
Tshampane played collegiately at UGA from 2015-17.
He averaged 11.6 yards per carry and 12.5 yards per reception for the Bruins, who lost to Texas Tech in the BCS title game.UCLA’s recruitment of Tshamsa came as a surprise, but the Bruins are known for developing elite talent on the recruiting trail.UGA and UCLA both have two commitments, the first being wide receiver Jalen Hill.
Hill, the No. 1 wide receiver in the country according to 247Sports Composite, is expected to announce his decision before the end of the month.
